About Me
I'm Christina, artist, educator and community servant.  I learn most from my connection with the natural world and have been blessed with the opportunity to spend each day immersed in it as a nature educator. Art, nature and service are the roots from which I have grown my work and my life, with the soil of love, family and community always nurturing my soul.

About This Blog
Soil In My Soil was inspired by the unique group of PA Master Naturalist (no affiliation with blog) trainees, with whom I had the pleasure of spending spring 2013 with at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. This diverse group came together to deepen our knowledge of the natural world and brought with us a wide variety of experiences and skills that allowed each of us to see the nature we knew, in new and exciting ways. We left this initial training, parting ways to implement our grand plans to serve our neighborhoods and their natural spaces through conservation, stewardship, education, citizen science and program support. Here you will find a wealth of information and opportunities, for all those who also have soil in their souls, to learn, teach and serve.

3 Black Cats
I created 3 Black Cats as a way to collect and share my love of cooking, nature, teaching, arts and crafts, photography, and service. Before it, I had an array of clippings, recipe cards, notebooks, and boxes of pure randomness. Then Pinterest came along. And while most of the randomness became more organized, my projects, materials and skills began to grow. I have been inspired by so many other writers, who have generously shared their passions and allowed me to expand mine, that I wanted to pay it forward.

Shoppe For Hope
Originally created to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund, through The Hope Express, Shoppe for Hope continues to grow and will soon include additional items for sale in support of other organizations close to my heart.
